Trail Description

The iconic flat-topped summit that names the whole Retezat massif, climbed from Cabana Pietrele over the Stanisoara valley and saddle. At 2482 m the top overlooks a dozen glacial lakes scattered through the granite cirques. The truncated silhouette is recognisable from half of Transylvania.
