Trail Description

A short walk across scrub and tank land to a rock face carved with seven colossal ancient Buddha figures near Wellawaya. The tallest standing Buddha in Sri Lanka dominates the group, still bearing traces of paint. A tranquil archaeological site off the beaten path.
