Trail Description

A gentle exploratory walk across the high Shira Plateau, a collapsed ancient caldera on Kilimanjaro's western flank. The nearly level ground gives constant views of Kibo's ice capped dome. It is an excellent acclimatisation outing amid alpine moorland.
