Trail Description
The demanding first day of the Pennine Way climbs Jacob's Ladder onto the Kinder Scout plateau, then crosses wild moorland past Kinder Downfall. It traverses the Bleaklow peat hags before descending to Crowden in Longdendale. Tough, boggy and exposed high moor walking.
