This Ridgeway stretch passes the ancient chalk-cut Uffington White Horse, the oldest hill figure in Britain, and the Iron Age fort of Uffington Castle. The broad old track climbs the downs past Wayland's Smithy long barrow. History and wide chalk downland views.
