Trail Description

A beautiful Desolation Wilderness hike near Fallen Leaf Lake to a subalpine lake below Mount Tallac. The trail passes Grass Lake and climbs through forest and wildflower meadows. Gilmore Lake is a serene turnaround and the launch point for the Tallac summit.
