Villarrica Volcano

A guided climb up one of the most active volcanoes in South America, above the town of Pucón. The route ascends snow and ash with ice axe and crampons to a smoking crater that sometimes glows with lava. A serious mountaineering day, rewarded by views over lakes and other volcanoes.
