Cesargrad

A forest climb above Klanjec in the Zagorje hills to the ruined castle of Cesargrad, once a stronghold of the Erdody counts burned in a peasant revolt. The path rises through beech woods to the crumbling towers on a rocky spur near the Slovenian border. A quiet walk combining nature and history in northern Croatia.
