The centre of Medinet Fayoum is threaded by the Bahr Yusuf canal and its distinctive wooden waterwheels that have turned for centuries. This short walk follows the canal past the creaking wheels in the middle of the busy town. The waterwheels are the emblem of the Fayoum region.
