Mount Catherine Summit Trail

Mount Catherine is the highest mountain in Egypt at 2,629 metres, rising above the monastery town of Saint Catherine. The long granite trail climbs steadily past Bedouin gardens and a small chapel to a summit with panoramic views across Sinai to the Red Sea. It is a demanding full-day walk best done with a local guide.
