New Gourna Village Luxor Walk

New Gourna on the Luxor west bank is a model village designed by the pioneering architect Hassan Fathy using traditional mudbrick vaults and domes. This walk explores the surviving mosque, market and courtyard houses. It is a landmark of sustainable earthen architecture.
