Gharb Soheil is a colourful Nubian village on the west bank of the Nile above Aswan, its houses painted in bright blues and yellows. This walk climbs through the sandy lanes between the domed homes with the desert dunes rising behind. It is a vivid introduction to Nubian culture along the river.
