Wadi Degla Protectorate Cairo

Wadi Degla is a limestone canyon protectorate on the southeastern edge of Cairo, a favourite escape for city hikers and cyclists. The flat gravel wadi floor runs for many kilometres between walls rich in marine fossils. It is an accessible desert valley walk close to Maadi with good chances of spotting foxes and desert birds.
