Sitia to Faneromeni Monastery

A walk in the far east of Crete from the port town of Sitia up to the fortress like monastery of Faneromeni. The old convent clings to a cliff around a cave church with a miraculous icon. The path climbs bare hills with wide views over the bay of Sitia.
