Barranca de Metztitlan

A walk into the Barranca de Metztitlan, a deep desert canyon and biosphere reserve in Hidalgo full of giant cactus. The trail descends among columnar cacti and thorn forest toward the river far below. The dramatic canyon is one of the great dry landscapes of central Mexico.
