Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

The most famous trek in South America, following an original Inca road over high passes to the lost city of Machu Picchu. The route climbs over Dead Woman's Pass and passes cloud forest and ruined citadels before reaching the Sun Gate at dawn. Usually walked over four days with porters, and permits sell out months ahead.
