步道描述

The real castle of Vlad the Impaler, perched on a crag above the Arges gorge and reached by a stairway of 1480 concrete steps through the forest. The ruin controlled the medieval route from Wallachia into Transylvania. From the walls the view plunges to the Vidraru dam downstream of the Transfagarasan.
