Golubac Fortress

A walk around the mighty medieval fortress of Golubac, guarding the entrance to the Iron Gate on the Danube. Nine towers climb the rocky spur where the river widens into a broad expanse, at the gateway to Djerdap National Park. Short but atmospheric, with steep steps up the ramparts.
