Sigiriya Rock

The climb up the towering Lion Rock, an ancient fortress palace and one of Sri Lanka's greatest monuments. Stairways and iron walkways pass frescoes, the lion paws gateway and mirror wall to reach the ruined palace on the summit plateau. The views over the surrounding jungle and water gardens are magnificent.
