Kilimanjaro Marangu Route Stage 2 Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

The trail leaves the forest and emerges onto rolling moorland with giant lobelias and open views of both Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. The steady climb crosses several small stream gullies before reaching the busy Horombo Hut complex. This is a key acclimatisation stop on the Marangu Route.
