From the boat landing at Kineo Cove on Moosehead Lake, reached by a shuttle boat from Rockwood in summer, the loop follows the Carriage Trail along the shore and climbs the Indian Trail along the edge of the 200 m cliffs to the summit fire tower of Mount Kineo, then returns down the Bridle Trail. The views from the cliff and the tower stretch across the whole lake.
