Atlas Mountains - Morocco (4,167 m)
Height:4,167 m
Mountain Description
The Atlas Mountains of Morocco rise to 4,167 metres at Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. The High Atlas above the village of Imlil is the main hiking and trekking gateway, with Berber villages, mule trails and the Toubkal refuge. Summer brings clear ridge walking, while winter turns the summits to snow and ice. Marrakech is the usual starting point for treks into the range.
