Pico de Mulhacén
Pico de Mulhacén (3,479 m)
Height:3,479 m
Mountain Description
Pico de Mulhacen is the highest mountain in mainland Spain at 3,479 metres, the roof of the Sierra Nevada in Andalusia. Despite its altitude it is a non-technical ascent in summer, usually climbed from Capileira in the Alpujarras or from the Hoya de la Mora above Granada. Snow lingers on the upper slopes into early summer, and on clear days the Mediterranean and the Rif mountains of Morocco are visible from the summit.
