Trail description

A 3.5 km climb of about 580 m from Lake Louise up steep switchbacks through subalpine larch forest to Saddleback Pass at about 2,330 m, between Mount Fairview and Saddle Mountain. The pass looks into Paradise Valley and at the huge north face of Mount Temple, and the larches turn gold in late September. From the pass, trails climb on to Fairview Mountain or the small Saddle Mountain.
