Trail Description
The climb to Prophitis Ilias, the highest peak of the Taygetus range towering over Sparta in the Peloponnese. The trail rises from a mountain refuge through pine and open rock to a summit chapel and enormous views to two seas. A tough, rewarding day in a wild and historic range.
