Dziani Dzaha Crater Loop

Trail description

A 3.6 km loop around the rim of Dziani Dzaha, a crater lake on Petite-Terre whose emerald water is saltier than the sea. The maar formed between 4,000 and 7,000 years ago and is the youngest and best-preserved volcanic structure on Mayotte, with views over Grande-Terre, Petite-Terre and the Indian Ocean.
