Cerro Huitepec

Trail description

A 1.8 km climb of about 85 m on the Huitepec volcano west of San Cristóbal de las Casas, to the edge of the Huitepec ecological reserve at about 2,275 m. The reserve covers 138 ha of cloud forest and oak woods heavy with bromeliads and moss. It is open from 9 am to 4 pm, and a donation is asked at the entrance.
