Chimaera (Yanartaş) - Eternal Flames Trail

Trail Description

A short, moderate hike near Çıralı on Turkey's Lycian Way, leading to natural gas vents that have burned continuously for centuries - the mythical home of the Chimaera. The trail climbs roughly 3 km from the parking area, gaining around 400 m of elevation over stone paths that can be loose and slippery. Most hikers reach the flames in 20-45 minutes. Best visited at dusk or after dark, when the flames are most visible.
