Trail description

From the roadside parking at a sharp bend below Binevenagh Forest, a forest track climbs through conifers to the artificial trout lake on the plateau, then heads north west to the cliff edge for views over Lough Foyle, Inishowen and the Scottish islands of Islay and Jura. Binevenagh belongs to the Keenaght Hills, formed by lava about 60 million years ago, and its slopes hold rare alpine plants.
