Chain Lakes Loop

Trail description

Loop from Heather Meadows near Mount Baker, up to Artist Point and around Table Mountain on the Chain Lakes Trail, returning by the Wild Goose Trail. The trail winds through heather meadows past a string of alpine lakes, including Mazama, Iceberg and Hayes lakes, with big views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan and the North Cascades. Expect about 1,700 ft (520 m) of climbing. Snow lingers late here, and the road to Artist Point usually opens only in mid-summer.
