Trail description

A three day backpacking loop in the Ouachita National Forest from Little Missouri Falls on the Little Missouri Trail, the Athens-Big Fork Trail and the Viles Branch Trail, over steep ridges and along the Little Missouri River. Most hikers take three days and camp at sites along the Little Missouri River. The trail fords the river many times and the crossings can be impassable after heavy rain.
