Mount Guiting-Guiting

The hardest climb in the Philippines, Mount Guiting-Guiting on Sibuyan island, from the foot of the Olango trail through rainforest to the jagged 2,058 m summit ridge of razor-sharp rocks. About 16.8 km out and back with some 2,140 m of climbing; most groups take three days and camp twice. A permit from the park office in Magdiwang and a local guide are required, and the park closes the mountain at times.
