Trail description

From the Crest Mountain trailhead on Highway 28 in Strathcona Provincial Park the trail climbs relentlessly through old-growth forest, about 1,250 m in 5 km, to a subalpine plateau of small lakes and heather meadows and the summit of Crest Mountain (1,558 m), with views of the peaks of central Vancouver Island. Snow lingers on the plateau into July.
