Trail description

Out-and-back hike from Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park, past the Whiskey Jack Hostel and up the switchbacks of the Iceline Trail to the high traverse below the Emerald Glacier. The trail crosses the moraines and rock left by the retreating glacier to the Iceline high point at about 2,230 m, with views back to Takakkaw Falls, one of Canada's highest at 381 m. The route is long and exposed to weather, so start early, carry layers and check Parks Canada trail conditions before you go.
