Trail description

Cerro El Roble rises to 2,222 m on the border of the Valparaíso and Santiago regions, one of the highest summits of the central Coastal Range. This route climbs from the Caleu side on the track that winds up to the summit, the most popular one-day ascent. The mountain is named after the oak forests on its slopes, and part of it lies within La Campana National Park. The top holds a University of Chile observatory and a view over the Aconcagua valley to Aconcagua, El Plomo and La Campana.
