Trail description

The Staza svetog Šimuna, a marked loop around the medieval hilltown of Gračišće in central Istria near Pazin. From the village it descends to the ruined 14th or 15th century church of St Simon, then passes a viewpoint at the church of Mary Magdalene and the Pišćetak hill with a spring said never to run dry. The route crosses the protected hilly landscape around Gračišće and climbs back to the village, about three hours at an easy pace.
