Trail description

A 4.1 km climb from the Hochries cable car car park on the Samerberg up the Glenggraben and the Wigg-Reiter-Steig to the Hochrieshütte on the summit of the Hochries (1,569 m), on the northern edge of the Chiemgau Alps. The view takes in the Rosenheim district, the Simssee and the Chiemsee, the Inn valley and the Kaisergebirge, as far as the Grossglockner and the glaciers of the Central Alps.
