Trail description
A steep 3.9 km climb of about 720 m to Monte Forato in the Apuan Alps above Lucca, reaching about 1,155 m near its south summit. The mountain has two summits of 1,230 and 1,204 m. Between them stands a large natural arch, carved by water and wind in the limestone, which gives the mountain its name.
