Trail description

A 1.4 km climb of about 220 m from near the Kurogane hut to the summit of Mount Adatara, 1,700 m. The mountain is a broad, forested stratovolcano about 15 km southwest of Fukushima, and its active summit crater last erupted in 1996. An eruption in 1900 killed 72 workers at a sulfur mine in the crater.
