Trail description

A 4.8 km climb of about 700 m from Shin-Kobe past Nunobiki Falls to Kikuseidai on Mount Maya, at about 690 m. The Nunobiki Ontaki falls are 43 m high and 15 to 20 minutes from the station. Kikuseidai is known for one of the three best night views in Japan over Kobe and Osaka Bay, and Tenjo-ji temple, which gives the mountain its name, is nearby; the Maya cable car and ropeway offer an easy way down.
