Mount Miune

Trail description

Miune, 1,894 m, stands at the heart of the Tsurugi mountains on the border of Tokushima and Kochi and is one of Japan's 200 famous mountains. This route climbs from the Tokushima side on a forest road and path to the summit, one of the best known mountains of Shikoku. The summit area has a shelter and is the start of one of the few long ridge traverses in the Tsurugi range. The way south from the summit crosses rock with chains and loose scree, which this line does not go down.
