Trail description
A 3 km path from the Plaine Champagne road to the summit of Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire, or Black River Peak, at 828 m the highest mountain on the island of Mauritius. Plaine Champagne is the most common starting point, though routes also come up from Chamarel and from the Black River Gorges visitor centre. A bench called Bench 828 stands on the summit.
