Caral

Trail description

A flat 0.9 km walk through the Sacred City of Caral, past the Pirámide Menor, the La Galería and La Huanca pyramids and the Residencial Mayor, ending near the Amphitheatre Temple. Caral lies in the Supe valley 182 km north of Lima, 23 km from the coast at about 350 m. At about 5,000 years old it is considered the oldest city in the Americas and one of the oldest in the world, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
