Trail Description

The largest stepped waterfall in Romania, where the Balea stream plunges some 60 m below the glacial threshold of the famous cirque. The trail climbs from the Balea Cascada chalet on the Transfagarasan to the viewing point at its base. Continue up the marked path and you reach Balea Lac itself.
