Trail Description
A walk up to the ruins of Cachtice castle, notorious as the seat of the countess Elizabeth Bathory. The trail climbs through vineyards and forest to a hilltop fortress with wide views over the Vah valley. The atmospheric ruins are among the best known in Slovakia.
