Trail Description
A steep climb from Muran village to the ruins of one of the highest castles in Slovakia, perched at 935 m on the Ciganka cliff of the Muranska planina. The castle is tied to the legend of the beautiful Maria Szechy, the Venus of Muran. Cliff-top terraces overlook the wild karst plateau where semi-wild Norik horses graze.
