Roque Nublo

Trail description

The walk starts at the La Goleta trailhead on the GC-600 and follows the S-70 path past the Roque del Fraile and across the rocky Tablón del Nublo to the foot of the Roque Nublo. Access to the S-70 from La Goleta is by advance booking only, through the Cabildo de Gran Canaria's official platform at reservasroquenublo.com. The rock is what erosion has left of volcanic deposits from an explosive eruption; it rises about 80 m above its base to 1,813 m and has been protected as a natural monument since 1994. The walk is about 1.5 km one way with some 165 m of climbing.
