Trail Description
From Mardale Head the path follows the Haweswater shore to the ruins of Riggindale Farm, demolished when the reservoir flooded the valley, then climbs the old ridge path over Kidsty Howes. Kidsty Pike reaches 780 m, the highest point of the Coast to Coast Walk. Its pointed profile above the crags of Riggindale is recognisable from as far as the M6 near Shap.
