Trail description

Starting from the lay-by at the Lime Kiln Track in Mallerstang, this route follows field paths and the Hazelgill track up the western side of the dale, then climbs steeply onto The Nab and crosses the plateau to the summit trig point. At 708 metres, Wild Boar Fell is the fourth or fifth highest fell in the Yorkshire Dales, and its name is said to come from wild boar living here over 500 years ago.
