Trail description
From the Beech Mountain parking area on the quiet west side of Mount Desert Island the Beech Mountain Loop Trail climbs through pine and over open ledges to the fire tower on the summit of Beech Mountain (256 m). The ledges look down on Long Pond and Echo Lake.
